Cycling

La Casa Pietra is the perfect base for cycling in the stunning hills of Piedmont. The terrain is amazing – for road bikers, a huge network of quiet country roads with varying gradients, every hill topped by a beautiful village where you can break for a proper Italian coffee and take in the endless views.

For mountain bikers, there are also wonderful off-road paths through woods and vineyards to give you a thrilling but beautiful ride.

At La Casa Pietra we love cycling and can offer help and support for your tour. We have tools, a few spares, lock-up bike racks, plus guided rides, suggested routes and possible ‘rescue’ car if you and your bike take a tumble.

Bikes

Most road bikers prefer to bring their own, but we do have some available for guest use (email us for details). Mountain bikes, road bikes and electric bikes can be hired for as many days as you like and delivered when you need them.

Routes

We can provide you with a number of suggested routes, from 10k up to 100k or more climbing through between 200 and 1500 metres. For those looking for a more relaxed option, there are flatter rides meandering through the valley.

Guided rides

Please contact us to arrange rides with a local qualified guide - mountain biking or road biking.

Guided rides with wine tasting and local speciality foods

We can also organise for your ride to be enriched with tastings of local world-renowned wines and Piedmont specialist foods to make your trip a truly well rounded and memorable experience.

Accommodation

There are four double bedrooms at La Casa Pietra, two of which also have full-sized bunk beds. A group of 4 adult cyclists could have a room each, but if you don’t mind sharing then we suggest up to 7 or 8 would be comfortable.
